mors bags

Our latest venture has been making mors bags, recycled fabrics sewn into bags to use for shopping or whatever you like using bags for...these are what some of the girls have made so to download free instructions and find out more.
All the bags we make are going to be given away at the Malton Chricstmas Craft fair  in Killarney on the 28th November, at the Irish patchwork society table....

This is a very old piece of patchwork, it was sewn by a young girl on her voyage to Austrlia in the 1800's . There is a very beautiful  love story attatched to it. My friend Jillian has lent this to me. it will be part of an exhibition in June 2012, of antique quilts. During The international quilt festival Of Ireland .
